Downtown Baton Rouge Family Photography Session

the Franks Downtown Baton Rouge Family Session. I just love this family session I got to do. I blogged earlier about their sweet family here. The Franks. Wow. What can I even say, they are like true super parents!! Terry and Breanne are pastors for Healing Place's location in the inner city of Baton Rouge referred to as the 70805. On top of giving into that community daily, weekly, monthly, this sweet couple had their Meila last year with a unique set of circumstances.

Meila was born with a genetic disease called MMA. It is essentially a protein breakdown disability. I can not tell you how amazing it was to watch this couple stand on the promises of God for their family for weeks and months and into this year! I am positive that fight is not for everyone. And when you can truly see the strength in the midst of such a difficult situations it only points to the ONE that can give such tranquility in the midst of life's dire times.

Breanne really loved the look of an ivy wall so I chose a downtown Baton Rouge location- that may or may not- be in a maybe seedy area to be able to make her photo dreams come true! I think we got plenty of great stuff, your thoughts?

Babyboy Eli is like the cutest little man in the world!!!!! I love his sweet personality. He was a tad shy but I would be too if some lady was in front of me with a giant clicking thing and making weird faces repeating the words CHEESE and HEY, HEY, HEY.

As you can see here, Meila is doing SUPER WELL!! She was just absolutely precious for her photoshoot.

Baton Rouge Wedding at City Club Baton Rouge

Wedding Bliss... for POWERS and ASHLEY!!!

I was so excited when Powers called me and told me he and Ashley were tying the knot! I have known Powers for years but I had not met the doll that stole his heart just yet! They gave me to date and details and within a couple of weeks I was at the City Club in Baton Rouge to document their darling day of becoming ONE!

The whole evening was laid out just perfectly and you could see very apparently that Ashley and her mom had spent lots of time going over the wedding details for Ashley and Power's Big Day. Everything was just divine!!

These cake toppers were Ashley's grandparents and they made me so happy!! Mini things are just the best and this duo was as good as it gets! I hope y'all marriage last as long as these figurines and longer!!!

Ashley's made some beautiful bridals and was just gorgeous in her gown and headpiece. We got to snap lots of portraits before the wedding ceremony got started and it was quite a riot sneaking around the building to not let Powers see her beforehand!

The first moments after the "I Do" are my absolute favorite. There is always sheer wedding bliss all over the couple's faces and it makes my heart happy every single time!
